Insect products from India are coming to Europe:
Arthro Biotech is now approved by EU-TRACES

Indian black soldier fly plant receives authorization to market its products in the European Union

This is Arthro Biotech, the first Indian BSF company to receive TRACES approval from the EU.

But what does this mean?

That the insect biotech company has passed the quality controls and standards required by the EU to ensure that its products comply with food safety and traceability regulations.

Arthro's products include:

• Insect oil

• Insect meal

• Puffed larvae

• Biopesticides

• Biofertilizers, and more

We spoke with the Founder and CEO of Arthro Biotech, Praveen K Sappa, who highlighted the great opportunity that this TRACES approval represents for India.

He said: "We have built our pilot factory with complete regulatory compliance in a record time of 6 months, and started production. We are now setting out to build a larger factory. Our goal is to produce 100,000 tons of insect meal and oil in the next 5 years".
